BSP Life’s $11.5 million new gated residential community is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
Bank South Pacific country manager, Kevin McCarthy, revealed this during the BSP Diwali cocktail on Wednesday evening at the USP Oceania Dance Theatre.
Mr McCarthy further revealed the high end residential community will be called “The Domain”.
The construction began in mid the past year and is located at the corner of Denison and Duncan Road in Domain, Suva.
Expected to be a new level of housing in Suva, the up-market mixed residential development is mainly targeting expatriates.
The whole concept of the development follows a notable lack of exclusive residential accommodation close to the central business district (CBD).

Targets
Meanwhile, Mr McCarthy said BSP had come a long way to achieving what they had targeted two years back and plans to further develop their services for customers.
“We told you that we were going to spend $16 million on a brand new core banking system for the bank,” he said.
“Now I’m happy to say we stand here two years later and that system has been implemented back on September 7 as a major investment in our future capability.”

Future Plans
Following the start up of their new banking system in September, Bank South Pacific is expected to set up more new products for their customers next year.
Mr McCarthy assured that customers can expect to see a lot of motivation and new products coming from BSP in 2016 taking advantage of the bank’s new capabilities.
“Our BSP Life is also in the process of a major implementation in this new core system,” he said.
“This is expected to be delivered in the first half of 2016 and will provide greater efficiencies and some fantastic customer services improvements.”
