New Gymnasium In Ba For Fiji Football

Fijian Football Association president Rajesh Patel is optimistic the provision of quality facilities will boost the standard of soccer in the country.
He emphasised this during the Win Win Project hand-over of a gymnasium in Ba
“This is part of our ongoing improvement of our technical academy in Ba and we will be doing the same thing for other locations,” he said.
“FIFA gave us a grant on USD$165,000 for the project, it’s almost completed and we have got another USD$50,000 for the equipment.”
The new facility has a bathroom for the players, to use after training.
“It will house the national technical director and we will be utilising this place for selling merchandise selling,” he said.
Oceania Football Confederation FIFA assistant development officer Lyn Shirley said this would not be the last of FIFA’s partnership.
“For the installation of the gym equipment that’s a separate contract which is currently with FIFA at the moment,” she said.
