Opposition whip and SODELPA parliamentarian Ratu Isoa Tikoca yesterday pleaded not guilty to a charge of failing to declare his liabilities contrary to section 24 of the Political Parties Registration decree.

Tikoca appeared before Magistrate Makereta Mua at the Magistrates Court in Suva yesterday.

During his bail variation hearing yesterday, the court also released Tikoca’s passport to attend a seminar in London.

However the court ordered that the passports of Tikoca’s sureties and Opposition Member of Parliament’s, Josefa Dulakiverata and Viliame Gavoka were to be surrendered also.

Tikoca was also told that his passport was to be returned within a week after his arrival.

The court also ordered that the agreed facts were to be filed before the next mention date on January 14 next year.
