The people of Ba will celebrate ‘Men in Black’ winning the 2015 Courts Inter-District Championship on Saturday.

Ba defeated Nadi 2-0 in the final at Govind Park early this month.

“It is time to celebrate for the victory and we expect fans to come in big numbers,” Ba FA secretary Iliyaz Khan

He said the Ba Football Association will also launch a book on its 80 years of existence (1935 – 2015).

Ba Chamber of Commerce and Industry chairman Anil Amin said the Ba team bounced back in the IDC after a slow start  in the season and made all their fans proud. Minister for Youth and Sports Laisenia Tuitobou will be the chief guest.

“For all Ba fans please come in your black attire and join the celebrations,” Amin said.

The float procession will be led by St Thomas High School band departing the Ba Civic Centre at 1pm through Ba town via Nukudrala road to Ba market grounds.

“We appeal to the soccer loving fans of Ba to kindly contribute whatever they can afford so that we stand behind our  Ba team at all times,” Amin said.
