Bail has been extended for Fijian businesswoman Mere Samisoni, Semisi Lasike and Apete Vereti.

The three are being charged with urging political violence.

The three accused appeared before Chief Magistrate Usaia Ratuvili yesterday morning. Disclosures were filed and served.

Vior dire grounds were also filed. Samisoni’s lawyer Filimone Vosarogo told the court that he needed time to go through the vior dire grounds with his client.

The matter has been adjourned for November 20 for mention.

It is alleged that the trio, between the months of September and December, 2011, in Suva intentionally conspired to overthrow by force of violence the Government of Fiji by allegedly urging one Waisea Kaloumaira to burn the city of Suva in December, 2011.
