The Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) has officially established a Fijian Country Office in Suva.

Its aim is to strengthen support for Fiji’s sustainable economic development through green growth related work.

The new GGGI office is located in the Strategic Planning Department of the Ministry of Finance.

Deputy Secretary for Strategic Planning Krishna Prasad commended the opening of the Fijian Country Office as a significant step to boost GGGI’s technical capacity and presence in Fiji.

This new cooperative arrangement will facilitate GGGI’s technical assistance to support Fiji’s Green Growth Framework through the enhanced transfer of knowledge, networks and experience.

GGGI will also assist the Ministry of Finance with mainstreaming the Green Growth Framework into the new National Development Plan.
