A team of Police officers uprooted 37 plants believed to be marijuana from two different places in the Northern Division.
Fiji Police Force spokesperson Ana Naisoro said the plants, ranging from 45 centimetres to 157cm tall, were uprooted in a farm at Raikivi Settlement in Cakaudrove on Thursday.
“The owner of the farm is yet to found,” Ms Naisoro said.
“On the same day, a team of Police officers went to Vuna Village in Taveuni Island where they arrested two men aged 37 and 54 who were found in possession of dried leaves believed to be marijuana.”
She said the men were in custody as investigation continued.
