Singh wins Best Principal Award

‘I want to take MGM to greater heights and we are all working very hard towards it’
Fiji Muslim League Board of Education’s Best Principal Award recipient, Bharti Singh believes team work contributes to positive results.
Mrs Singh was presented the award for the second time in recognition of her term as the principal of Suva Muslim College last year during the awards night at Nadi Muslim College last weekend.
She said during her term as principal at the college, she always made sure that the teachers were focused and worked accordingly to achieve its mission for the year.
Mrs Singh is now the principal of Mahatma Gandhi Memorial (MGM) High School in Suva.
“I want to take MGM to greater heights and we are all working very hard towards it. It is not easy but it’s challenging. So many reforms have come in and we all have to change and mould and get into that system,” Mrs Singh said.
She advised other school principals to be agents of change in their various schools.
“The only thing is that we have to build good teams and work with our teams. We must believe in our teams and have confidence in our teachers,” Mrs Singh said.
