Drag Wars Confirmed For November 8

Hello fellow motor sports enthusiasts. Exciting news – our next event will be Quality Rentals Drag Wars on November 8. This will be side-by-side racing at its best.
Two cars will be racing side-by-side on a 300 metre track. After the big success of the past drag wars, we have decided to have another one again as it is very quickly gaining popularity.
We are really excited about this event and we will provide more details in the next edition of this exclusive Fiji Car Club column in the Fiji Sun.
Event in West
On another note, the Car Show has been confirmed for November 14 which will be held in Nadi. We are still awaiting on our Fiji Car Club Western representative to confirm us a venue.
The reason we want to get the car show in West is to show the people in West that Fiji Car Club is not only for people in Suva but for all of Fiji.
Normally we only are aware of nice show cars in the Central so we are hoping to see all the show cars and sports cars in the Western side on November 14. This is surely an event not to be missed.
We have confirmation from 15 cars that will be travelling to Nadi from Central Division for the Car Show. We are still getting more confirmation and we are inviting people to join us.
Our last event for the year will be a quarter mile drag race which will be held on November 22.
Last event
We also had yet another successful ¼ mile drag race the past Sunday. And we are continuing to encourage women participation.
Fiji Car Club was very pleased to see lady drivers beating their husband/partners timing. For us, it is encouraging to see that ladies are taking this motor sports very seriously.
In the last race we had, the ladies defending champion, beat her husband’s time.
For us, this is a big victory and it shows the commitment of lady drivers in Fiji and their skills which is usually looked down upon.
So we are encouraging all the ladies to come out. It is a dream for Fiji Car Club to have equal number of male and female racers.
