Escapee Caught In Kadavu
Escapee Sakiusa Basa Viaviaturaga was arrested this morning in Kadavu.
Fiji Police Chief Operations Officer, Rusiate Tudravu said a team of police officers with the assistance of villagers from Dravuwalu, Kadavu were able to apprehend Viaviaturaga who also had in his possession more than six hundred plants believed to be marijuana.
“The Fiji Police Force wishes to extend its heartfelt appreciation to the people of Dravuwalu for their assistance and cooperation which led to the successful operation in apprehending Viaviaturaga.
“This is an example of police community partnership that we continue to advocate and it is encouraging to note that people are being proactive and curbing illegal activities from within their communities,” ACP Tudravu said.
