An entrepreneur in Labasa says he exists not to be different but to make a difference in the Northern town.
Vinesh Dayal, owns Hotel NorthPole, a car rental business and restaurants in Vanua Levu.
During his house warming party and launch of the VCORP Cares last Saturday in Labasa, Mr Dayal said the difference comes from the exposure and the upbringing he had outside Labasa.
“This difference has contributed to the growth of Labasa Town which is clearly evident,” Mr Dayal said.
Although the father of four children is originally from Kinoya, Suva, he had lived in Vanua Levu for 15 years and invested heavily in its economy.
“I have bought 2 properties in Nadi, thanks to Home Finance Company for their support and very soon we will start construction of a hotel and an apartment,” Mr Dayal said.
He said he wants to help build the Fijian economy and for the community he launched VCORP Cares – a charitable trust fund for children in Fiji.
“My wife Rachel Dayal and I decided that we are going to divert some of our profits to VCORP Cares to help the poorest of the poor kids in Fiji,” Mr Dayal said.
“We will envisage and bring about change that matters to our society strategically and holistically.”
Tui Macuata Ratu Wiliame Katonivere was the chief guest and launched VCORP Cares.
