Fiji National University’s iTaukei Land Trust Board bagged the Fiji Business Excellence Prize achievement for the second time in a row.
General manager Tevita Kuruvakadua said their achievement simply indicated that the organisation is on the right track.
Mr Kuruvakadua said: “We will continue to learn from the best organisations is our journey of excellence to serve Fiji and iTaukei landowners and all stakeholders better.
“This marks yet another milestone in our business Excellence and quality journey.”
He added the journey towards attaining their vision of Excellence in Land Management Services is more so becoming a world class organisation.
TLTB first entered the FBEA process in 2012 and since then he said they never looked back.
To the team, the prize reflects their team’s ability to be in the league of the best in class organisations in Fiji.
“I stand here because of their commitment to delivering performance excellence and in believing that they can make a difference. This award is even more special for us, having being recognised twice at achievement level, and now again at prize level, in our efforts to sustain business excellence.

Preparations
“We have worked tirelessly and continued making improvement, guided by the framework and feedback reports along with the efforts and dedication by our management team and staff.
“Tonight we stand tall and proud, as witness that TLTB is also part of the productivity movement and the national effort to increase productivity in our organisation contributing to the overall increase of productivity in Fiji,” he said.
Mr Kuruvakadua continued: “They say that business excellence is a never ending journey. So we will continue to strive to put in place robust management practice, processes and value systems to achieve better results in our operations and more so safe keep land for our generations. We have improved in most areas of operations.
He added “Despite the challenges that we face daily; the board is determined and committed to ensure that we will remain relevant for their customers in the years to come.
TLTB also won the Gold award at the National Quality Circles in Suva last month.
