Fiji Has To Qualify: Ravouvou

Vodafone Fijian U20 head coach Salimoni Ravouvou has laid down the challenge as he prepares his side for the 2015 Oceania Rugby junior trophy qualifiers which will be hosted on November 27 to December 5 at the ANZ Stadium.
Ravouvou has downsized his training squad to 35 yesterday and said their biggest aim now was to qualify back to the World Rugby U20 championship next year.
“We have started our preparation from September 26 and we have continued assessing each players and they are in good form now.
“Our main aim now is to qualify for the main competition which is the World Rugby U20 championships that’s the challenge now,” Ravouvou said.
Fiji, Papua New Guinea, Vanuatu and Tonga will take part in the competition.
“We can’t underestimate any team we just have to treat each game as a final.”
Some notable inclusions in the squad are former Labasa football goalkeeper Filipo Daugunu, Nadroga’s first five Peceli Naicebe, New Zealand based Filimoni Waqainabete, England based Filimoni Savou, Nadroga Under 20 Kaveni Dabenaise and Vasikali Mudu. The squad marches into camp today.
