The Telecom Fijiana team aims for a positive outcome in the Oceania Women’s 7s qualifiers in New Zealand next week to book their berth in the 2016 Rio Olympics.
Head coach Chris Cracknell commended the hard work, dedication and sacrifice the girls have displayed on and off the field and are now looking forward to the big task next week.
Cracknell said their focus now was on them and not on their oppositions.
“We know Samoa will be coming in with a different team from the Pacific Games. They have brought in few players from New Zealand and a few that played in Papua New Guinea but that will not distract us.
“We have decided that we will not focus on our oppositions much, but we are going to focus on our girls, this will be a tough physical battle especially from Tonga and Samoa and Cook Islands.
The side departs for Auckland next Tuesday.
