$35,000 Joy for Fiji Cancer Society

The Fiji Cancer Society yesterday received a donation of $35,000 from CJ Patel Group’s Fiji Dairy Limited in partnership with Janty Kanvan Limited for their commitment towards raising awareness against breast cancer.
Fiji Dairy Limited general manager, Sundeep Kumar Balia said: “This is the first time the company is promoting breast cancer.
“This is an overall support of CJ Patel Group in partnership with Janty Kanvan Limited and Fiji Dairy Limited in highlighting the breast cancer issue in Fiji. We are glad that we are able to do this and hope to be part of this next year.”
For every packet of Rewa Life bought by consumers, Fiji Dairy Limited contributed 5 cents towards the Fiji Cancer Society.
Similarly, for every ream of paper sold by Janty Kanvan Limited, 10 cents was contributed towards the Fiji Cancer Society.
Fiji Cancer Society president, Phillip Low expressed his gratitude on behalf of cancer patients and survivors towards CJ Patel Group’s Fiji Dairy Limited and Janty Kanvan Limited for their donation.
“I am a big believer that people should not die from cancer unfortunately, people do die,” Mr Low said.
The funds will be used for treatment of people who are suffering from cancer.
“This year has been the biggest Pinktober month for Fiji Cancer Society’s and we had overwhelming support. Donations like this don’t help one person but an entire nation,” Mr Low said.
