RFMF Officers Farewell Compassionate Chief
Republic of Fiji Military Forces senior officers with Commander in Chief and outgoing Presdient, Ratu Epeli Nailatikau at Queen Elizabeth Barracks officers mess in Nabua yesterday.

Acting Commander of the Republic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF), Commodore Viliame Naupoto described the outgoing Commander-in-Chief, President Ratu Epeli Nailatikau, as compassionate.
He made these remarks during a Dine-Out hosted to farewell Ratu Epeli at the RFMF Officers’ Mess last Friday night.
“We thank him for his leadership and support for RFMF and especially for our country, Fiji, during the past difficult years,”Acting Commander Naupoto said.
“I have known our President ever since I joined the military and it was amazing to see his ability to transect and touch people’s lives,” he said.
Acting Commander Naupoto said it was now imperative for everyone to continue the good work carried out by the outgoing RFMF Commander-in-Chief and President of Fiji.
“We will now have to focus on what lies ahead of us and to continue moving our beloved nation forward.”
Also present at Dine-Out event was the Prime Minister, Voreqe Bainimarama, Minister for Immigration, National Defence and Security, Timoci Natuva.
Former RFMF Commander Mosese Tikoitoga, Minister for Youth and Sports Laisenia Tuitubou and Ministry of iTaukei Affairs Deputy Permanent Secretary Apakuki Kurusiga were also present last Friday night.
