Team Property Destinations Fiji  (PDF) won the 22nd South Pacific Corporate Team Golf Championship at the Denarau Golf and Racquet Club yesterday.

The team of Mohammed Faiyaz, Eroni Mavoa, Tom Fox and Amy Subam were too good, ending the winning streak of Gapsted Wines’ Alf Bowerman, Sirelli Peters, Arthur Peters and Rafe Underwood, who had won for the past three years.

Subam was over the moon with her team’s victory.

“We are all happy for this win as we played as a team,” she said.

Team Fiji Airways of Abinesh Vinod, Ravinesh Kumar, Shiu Ritesh and Joeli Kotoisuva finished second (320) on a countback from GM Motors (Alvin Singh, Sesh Rao, Rajneel Kumar and Ram Khelawan).

Club manager David Roche said Team Gapstead made a return.

“They were out to claim the event for the 4th consecutive year, but were unlucky,” he said.

Roche thanked the sponsors Fiji Airways (winning team win return tickets to Australia or New Zealand and entry to next year’s event) Westin and Sheraton, Lavina Wines, South Sea Cruises, Captain Cook Cruises and Denarau Water Sports..
