Investment Fiji will be looking at re-collaborating some awards for next year’s Fiji 2016 Westpac Prime Minister’s Exporter of the Year Awards.

Investment Fiji chief executive officer Godo Muller-Tuet made this comment following the culmination of the 2015 Westpac Prime Minister’s Exporter of the Year Awards last Saturday night.

“We might be looking at other awards. There will be potentially a service award next year.

“A lot of companies today are service providers so we are probably going to have a service provider as well,” Mr Muller-Tuet said.

He said they were happy with how successful the event was.

“I think it was huge and successful and I am very pleased with the winners in each category and I think they truly deserve the recognitions for all the hard work they have put in over the year.

“And Tropik Wood is an example that involves a lot of locals and generates a lot of jobs and great youth projects as well.

“We really appreciate and recognise what they have been doing.

“The winners have shown the country what they capable of what can be done.

“I am extremely happy with the evening and I think that next year is going to be great.

“The budget allows for a lot more activities and dynamism. “We hope that a lot of the tax reductions that have come in place will stimulate that and we are looking forward to a fruitful and prosperous next year.”

Mr Muller-Tuet also said they at Invetsment Fiji are happy to assist any company that may need assistance.

“We are here to help any company whether they are local company or foreign investor to help with the exports and help them to come to Fiji and help them to set up to overcome any kinds of hurdles they may have. Ultimately Investment Fiji is there to assist companies.

“I am looking forward to working with everyone in the coming months or over the coming years.

“The more exports we sell overseas the more they will employ the higher wages they will pay and that would better for Fiji in the long term.”
