Vinod Patel Foundation announced their donation of $10,000 to Fiji Society for the Blind earlier in the past week.

Speaking during the cheque presentation, Human Resource Development General Manager, Ranju Kumar said:

“We are hopeful that our small gesture would assist the Society towards sustaining the operational expenses of the charitable organization.”

Ms Kumar added the Vinod Patel team believes, like everyone else, visually impaired children also have dreams to achieve successful lives and education.

“We all believe and have faith, that these children can lead normal lives and be independent with the right education system, support from the community, love and care.”

She also thanked the organisation for their hard work and commitment towards the children and applauded the Directors of Vinod Patel & Co. Ltd on taking this initiative in assisting the visually impaired children.

“We are indeed fortunate to have Fiji Society for the Blind in our midst as they are the sole organisation that renders rehabilitation, education, training and assistance to visually impaired persons and partially sighted throughout Fiji. In addition to this, they also provide accommodation for kids from remote places.

“Truly, they are worthy of our appreciation and we sincerely thank them for instituting a more modern, sustainable and client driven approach towards care for the visually impaired.
