Suspected Murders Still Under Investigation

Police enquiries continue into two separate deaths which were discovered last weekend.
Two juveniles aged 16 and 17 years old, who were allegedly involved in the death of mechanic Reginald Singh, 29, are still under investigation.
Mr Singh was found dead in a cane field in Masimasi, Sabeto, a few metres from his home last Saturday.
Police say the youths were found with Mr Singh’s car in Sigatoka and were taken into custody.
“There has been no change as investigations continue,” said Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro.
Another case is regarding the death of 14-year-old Sanjani Lata. This has led to the questioning of two female suspects.
The Year Five student of Kulukulu Public School was found dead in a septic tank last Friday and Police are treating the case as a murder.
“Nothing has been confirmed yet as investigations continues,” Ms Naisoro said.
Police say the second suspect has yet to be questioned since she is still admitted at the Lautoka Hospital.
The 14 year old victim was reported missing last week.
Police are currently trying to put together other details as investigations in both cases continue.
