Women In Business (Fiji) donated $10,000 to Colonial War Memorial Hospital on Tuesday in their bid to help and support children suffering from cancer.
Women In Business president Nur Bano Ali said: “Women In Business supports cancer of any form and we have chosen children’s cancer as our gender.
“We have been contributing annually to the children’s’ hospital for cancer,” she said.
Ms Ali said they had been doing fundraising in order to collect money and this year they had a movie night.
“We raised awareness and people contributed,” Ms Ali said.
“We have been doing this for the past few years and we will continue to support,” Ms Ali said.
CWM hospital medical superintendent Dr Jemesa Tudravu expressed his gratitude to the members of Women In Business for their kind contribution.
“The donation will be used on children in the oncology Ward which treat children with cancer,” he said.
“This is not the first time they have done this and hope this is not the end that they will continue to support us.”
