Westpac Mobile Banking Now Live

Vodafone and Westpac have partnered to make mobile banking easy and accessible from anywhere now.
This has been made possible through its new service ‘the Westpac mobile banking’.
This was launched yesterday by the Governor of the Reserve Bank of Fiji Berry Whiteside.

Westpac bank account holders on the Vodafone network will be able to access their bank account through their mobile anytime.
The bank customers with a mobile phone simply need to ‘opt in’ by dialling *149# to transfer funds and conduct banking transactions.
The Vodafone network includes both Inkk and Vodafone subscribers.
Mr Whiteside said: “This is a first for Fiji and the region to launch an integrated mobile wallet to bank account financial service.
“I therefore wish to congratulate Westpac and Vodafone for this ground breaking partnership.”
He added the service is something RBF has been advocating for some time.
