It was a proud moment for Vandhana Lal when her son Krishnit Lal, a Year Two student received a certificate at the annual prizegiving function yesterday.

A total of 53 Year One and 113 Year Two Nehru Memorial Primary School students received their certificates during their annual prizegiving yesterday.

The certificate was presented to years one and two students under advanced, proficient and basic levels.

“I am feeling really proud and happy that my son has received a certificate for advance level in Year One,” she said.

She said her son’s academic performance is really good and she always helped with her son’s studies.

Mrs Lal said Krishnit wanted to become a doctor.

Meanwhile, Year One student Kairav Nand was really happy to receive advanced level certificate.

“I am so happy to receive a certificate today,” he said.

“This is my first certificate at Year 1 level and I hope to get more certificates.”
