EDITORIAL: Victorious Telecom Fijiana
Litia Naiqato of Fiji makes a break during the World Sevens Oceania Olympic Qualification match between Fiji and the Cook Islands on November 14, 2015 in Auckland, New Zealand.

We should all congratulate the Telecom Fijiana for qualifying for the Olympics in Rio, Brazil, next August.
They will be representing Fiji together with our Vodafone Fijian 7s team and the Under-23 soccer team.
With only a small number of women registering to play rugby in Fiji, they have been playing against professional players on the World Sevens circuit.
Now in the Olympic qualifier they have charged to qualification without a point being scored against them.
Starring for Fijiana were Rebecca Tavo, Litia Naiqato and the dominating presence around the field of Rusila Nagasau, who scored four tries in the final.
A delighted Fijiana captain Anna Maria Roqica said, “Firstly we thank all our supporters and of course our coaches who really believed in us. We worked really hard over the last eight weeks at home to get here and we are very happy.”
“We are so pleased to qualify for the Rio Olympics, but we know we have to improve our fitness and skills further. Importantly we have to keep believing in ourselves.”
Thank you for your marvelous performance, ladies.
You had brought pride to our beloved country, Fiji, and our people.
We salute you and welcome you back to our shores.
Now that the Telecom Fijiana have qualified, we call on the Fiji Rugby Union (FRU) to support them more.
Treat them just like the Flying Fijians and the Vodafone Fijian Sevens men.
By the way, they played, they are potential gold medal winners.
From now until the Rio Olympics next year, we must support our winning Telecom Fijiana team.
The onus is now on everyone to help lift the level of support given to our rugby women heroes.
Can they be contracted?
Yes, they should and this must happen now.
