Told You, PNG

Told you, PNG
Finally …. Papua New Guinea has passed regulations banning foreign advisors, who are mainly Australians, from working for government departments without being accountable to Papua New Guinea.
A senior PNG govt official has been reported saying: “Basically what we are trying to do is protect the sovereignty and security of our country by making sure that all those people now sign contracts, performance agreements with the state of PNG and their recruiting agencies, to ensure they now work to protect the interest of our country.”
Didn’t we tell you so?
Talking point
Good to hear Opposition Leader Ro Teimumu Kepa talked to a Fiji Sun photojournalist at Parliament yesterday.
Just a brief comment about it being good to see the Fiji Sun in Parliament. Not much perhaps.
But remember. Ro Teimumu doesn’t normally talk to this newspaper.
On the beat
Some Policemen said they were on patrol, but at the same time were treating themselves to a nice heavy meal. At 10am.
Women power
The Telecom Fijiana team has definitely done us and especially women in Fiji proud!
Definitely defied skeptics and critics with their outstanding performance.
Now who says rugby is a man’s game? Well done and all the best for Rio!
