FMF Foods Limited $70,000 yesterday for the hosting of the 2015 Fiji Primary Schools athletics FMF Chow games.
The games will start this Friday and finals on Saturday at the ANZ Stadium.
The sponsorship is an increase of $10,000 from last year.
This year’s game will bring athletes from the West, North and, maritime zones competing against some of the best zones in the central and eastern divisions.
The newcomers for the 28th game include Nakorosule, Namosi Highland, Namosi South and Vanua Balavu.
FMF Group marketing manager Poonam Kritika said additional funding was to ensure the athletes enjoyed their participation in the games this year.
“This is our eighth-year in sponsoring the games and it’s also good to see many co-sponsors coming onboard to take the game to a better level,” Kritika said.
Receiving the cheque was Fiji Primary School Athletics president Paula Cavu.
“We’re thankful to FMF that we’re able to promote and broadcast the principles of participation in sports in areas of track and field.
“We wish everyone well and hope we all enjoy this weekend,” Cavu said.

“Without sponsors we can’t survive, all games cost money, it takes money to bring all these schools together.
“This should also be a good year for Fiji Primary School athletics since all the schools will be coming to Suva to participate,” Rodan said.

“Thank you organisers for the game and also thank you for giving us the opportunity, we are proud to be part of the tournament,” Nabalarua said.
