The Fiji Revenue and Customs Authority will soon begin its hunt for a new chief executive.
This follows the resignation of Jitoko Tikolevu from the position to take up a diplomatic posting as the new Fijian High Commissioner in London.
FRCA chairman, Ajith Kodagoda, said the resignation was effective end of December.
He confirmed they will advertise the position and both internal and external candidates are encouraged to apply.
“We will get the best candidate for the position, does not matter which nationality it is. What’s important is to get the right person for the job,” he said.
Mr Kodagoda said they have not yet commenced with the recruitment process. However, it is estimated to take at least two months.
In the meanwhile, Mr Kodagoda said there will be an acting chief executive once Mr Tikolevu leaves.
Mr Tikolevu replaces Solo Mara, who becomes the Fijian Ambassador to USA.
