Animal milk

Tukai Lagonilakeba, Nadi

Human evolution has much dependency to animals and we owe our progress and co-existence to them.

SODELPA Opposition member and a self proclaimed Lakeba bible theologian Semesa Karavaki’s contribution to our 2016 National Budget debate equates to nothing and is irrelevant.

His comments were a disgrace, below the belt and disrespectful to the animals whom our Great Lord Jehovah created first than human beings and accordingly the respect must be shown in that order.

KJV Christian bible in the book of Genesis 1:1-25, it was the Great Lord Jehovah’s priority in his own Wisdom, He created the Heavens and the Earth including the Moon, Sun, Night and Day, Water, River, Ocean, Trees, Fish, Birds of the sky and the Multitudes of animals or in other words our Biodiversity first.

From Genesis 1 verse 26 it is recorded that after the Lord Jehovah was satisfied with his first creations, the Lord than proceeded to make man [male and female] in his own image to rule over or have dominion over his creations and he blessed them.

Mr Karavaki is a disgrace and specifically to our young Fijians who can get it wrong.

He should personally find time to apologise to every animal and mammal on earth and individually apologise to them all.

A specialist food scientist personal friend from Japan once told me, “Tuks, whatever God gave humans, it served a purpose and it was there not to be abused but respected”.

My friend scientist also said; anything you put in your mouth or even the air you breathe can be detrimental to your health including your own mother’s milk which has been medically proven to have caused the deaths of their new born because some mother’s are not as healthy.

I would like Mr Karavaki to provide a detailed summary of how many in the Opposition today, including him, who has never had animal milk in any form since they were born.

It would be interesting! Let’s start with our world famous bottled Rewa Milk and powder that are very good ingredients for cream cakes, puddings, custards pie etc.
TLTB service

Joe Smith, Pacific Harbour

I have had to visit both the Lautoka and Suva TLTB offices on land matters.

I must admit the Suva office environment is business-like and service professional. Thanks.

As for the Lautoka office it is always crowded and key staff members are on repeated sick leaves. In the absence of any service, I m unable to assess its delivery.

Better children

Wise Muavono, Lautoka

Everybody is always talking about leaving a better planet for the children.

How about leaving better children for the planet?

Gift of God

Lawrence H Narayan, Suva

In answer to Brother Savenaca Vaka’s question (FS 17/11). I am an activist against religious oppression, mind control and manipulation by churches who distort biblical truths with false teachings.

I have many years of experience dealing with this issue because in the beginning of my Christian walk over 26 years ago, I was in a church where the denomination and its leaders were reverend rather than God of the Bible.

In all these years it has been a privilege to help fellow Christians to find the strength and determination to finally face the Gospel truth.

The following statements may help Brother Save and others like him to know if they are in a similar situation;

 The leaders of the denominations write their own material and claim that it is from God or “inspired by God” or “from the mouth of God” after the completion of the Bible in 96 AD;

 The leadership wrote its own version of the Bible and call it “improved” or “more accurate” and the use of that “translation” is unique to that religion disregarding all the other Bible translations;

 The leadership tells you that you cannot read anything written by any other church or religion and only can read what they write;

 It is forbidden to disagree either privately or openly with the church leadership on any point;

 The leadership teaches that they are the only ones with “the truth” and that everyone else is deceived;

 You are given a litany of rules and regulations to follow that is not supported by New Testament scriptures;

 You are taught that salvation is by works (good deeds) rather than a free gift of God.
