Case Adjourned To Next Month

Two men appeared at the High Court in Lautoka yesterday in relation to the $15-million drug bust in Vuda.
Australian national Joseph Nayef Abourizk and Josese Moroiwaqa, charged with one count of unlawful possession of illicit drugs contrary to Section 5 (a) of the Illicit Drugs Control Act, 2004, appeared before Justice Thushara Rajasinghe.
The first-accused, Abourizk, was represented by lawyer Iqbal Khan while second-accused Moroiwaqa was represented by lawyer Aman Ravindra Singh of Aman Ravindra Singh Lawyers.
The court heard that Mr Khan had filed voir dire grounds.
Mr Singh requested for time to file his voir dire grounds and discuss additional issues with his client.
Justice Rajasinghe ruled for the matter to be adjourned to December 3 for mention.
