Northland team captain Loasa Toga is adamant they will be winning gold medals each in the 2015 FMF Chow Games.

Seven athletes will represent Northland in this year’s game and all athletes are from Waidalice District Primary School.

“We have been preparing since term two where we had a interhouse in school and we selected the best seven athletes.

“We have been working hard since then and now we just can’t wait to participate in the games and do Northland proud,” Toga said.

The captain will be participating in the U13 girls 400m, 200m and long jump.

Northland will only be represented in the U9, U10, u12 and U13 grades.

“Our aim this year is to try and have one gold medal each, the competition will be tough but we will go out there and do our Province proud,” Toga said.

U9 girl’s duo Merelita Nabukalou and Litia Rokomoale will be participating in the 50m and 75m.

“I’m ready and my aim is to make my family proud,” Nabukalou said.
