Ra Duo Ready to Make Province Proud

Atonio Nemani and Sitiveni Naduruvoko will be Ra province medal prospects in the 2015 FMF Chow Games which starts today.
The Mataso, Ra natives will be blistering the tracks in the 1500m event in the U14 and U12 boys respectively.
“It’s after three years we are having a combined national event again, I know the challenge will be difficult as all the province will now aim for top three spots.
“I don’t see that as a challenge because I have done my part , I have really worked hard in my preparation, going for road runs, running up on the mountain are some of the sacrifices I have to go through,” Nemani said.
The year eight student of Mataso Primary School is also the Ra team captain who won silver last year.
“We have prepared well and I believe we will restore the lost glory which was missing from Ra in the past years,” Nemani added.
Year six student Naduruvoko said he hopes to finish in the top three. The 12 year old won silver medal in 2013 in the 1500m event.
“Aim is to win silver or bronze and winning gold medal will be a bonus,” Naduruvoko said.
A total of 51 athletes from 10 schools will be representing Ra today.
