Vodafone Fijian Under-20 coach Salimoni Ravouvou is adamant to name a strong team today.

Speaking to SUNsports yesterday Ravouvou said the boys had proved themselves in the past months of training.

“It may be hard to choose the team tomorrow as all players have given in their best in terms of training. It will be a strong team that will be named,” Ravouvou said.

He also said preparations had gone well for the team.

“The team is ready to perform and we have prepared ourselves spiritually, mentally and physically and they are good to go,” he said.

“They have been up with their training and have shown their dedication and hard work. With the tournament coming up next week the boys will put in there mark.”

Ravouvou said the competition won’t be an easy one as the boys will be facing stronger island countries like Tonga.

“It won be an easy battle against the other Pacific island teams but then we will give it our best shot,” he said.

The boys will be facing Vanuatu in their first challenge next Friday in the Oceania U20 trophy.

Meanwhile Vanuatu, Tonga and Papua New Guinea are the only participating countries. The winner will qualify for the Junior World Trophy next year.
