It’s not every school prizegiving that the dux award is shared between two students.

The school management thought it fitting to award their two head students, Marika Vosa and Ann Raturo after showing exemplary conduct and academic result in their senior year.

Marika  received first prize, Year 13 Certificate of Completion, the Headboy Award, Sportsman Award, Religion Prize, and Best All-Rounder Student Award.

Ann received second prize, Year 13 Certificate of Completion, recognition in scoring the highest in English, Accounting and Computer Studies and Headgirl awards.

Ann said: “I’m happy my hard work paid off. I am so thankful to my teachers and parents for their support.”

Though it was a challenging to balance her schoolwork  and taking on the leadership role in school, Ann took in all in her stride.

She hopes to study at the University of the South Pacific where she plans to take up accounting and management courses.

Marika was thankful to God for the blessings and achievement throughout the year.

“I have fulfilled my parents dream through my achievement.”

“I have worked really hard to achieve this dux award,” he said.
