Fiji Sun Shines In Lautoka

Your Bigger, Brighter, Better Fiji Sun office in Lautoka is now open on 5 Vakabale Street.
Conveniently located opposite Lautoka bus stand, the office will give customers better and easier access to services, such as news, advertising and paper sales.
The office was opened yesterday and replaces a smaller office off Vitogo Parade.
Lautoka Chamber of Commerce administrator Mohammed Salim said the office location and design would bring out the image of the emerging Sugar City.
“This place was not valued before but today you can witness how people are looking at what is happening here,” Mr Salim said.
“Fiji Sun has been helping Lautoka Chamber of Commerce in the past so many years in terms of business forums and setting standards for Lautoka.
“In 2016 we will be having a mini business forum where Fiji Sun will be a partner,” he added.
Fiji Sun Publisher/CEO Peter Lomas said moving to a bigger office in Lautoka underscored two important things.
“First the continuing growth and growth of Lautoka city and its economy,” he said. “Second the continuing growth of the Fiji Sun as our country’s bigger, better, brighter newspaper.
“We now have major fully staffed offices in both Nadi and Lautoka. That reflects the importance of the West to Fiji.”
Chief Operating Officer Sisila Jayasiri, Advertising Manager designate Monisha Prasad, Circulation Manager Ashish Kumar, Marketing Team Leader Neha Khatri and Operations Officer Rajen Dutt came from Suva to join Lautoka staff at the opening.
The Lautoka team is headed by sales manager Jifa Tupua.
