A Unifying effect

Pranil Ram,
Nadi

Hats off to our religious and Government leaders for holding a memorial service in the memory of the victims of the Paris attacks.

Though we may be living very far away from France but there are some common values that we share and always try to uphold it.

Just like sporting teams, different countries and religious groups right throughout the world have expressed their solidarity with victims of Paris attacks so have we reciprocated in the same way.

Our action clearly indicates that we do not in anyway, condone the acts of terrorism and as far as possible we will stand up to fight against it.

Mothers’ human milk

Tukai Lagonilakeba,
Nadi
Semesa Karavaki said this in Parliament; “Human beings are not made to drink of animal milk otherwise we would be running after a mother cow”, of course the only one that would be running after a cow’s milk is its baby calf with those who are tasked to extract its milk for human consumption and naturally so, this was in reference to the FijiFirst Government’s Weet Bix and Free Milk supply initiative to Year One students throughout Fiji during his contribution to our National Budget debate.

Human mothers know exactly when they are supposed to give breast milk to their little ones, their newborn don’t have to run after it but as for the older ones who have gone past breast-feeding stage, they would politely ask their parents for a glass of Rewa Life milk, cheese, ice cream, topsy, ice-block, milk shake, chocolate, cheese cake and the list goes on, these are only some of the many animal milk product that Karavaki would have given his wife and kid’s including himself from time to time.

For the information of this bible-basher, mother’s milk is a bi-product of everything she eats and drinks whether it is steak, pork, lamb, fish, rourou, bele, vegetable’s of any kind, fruits, dalo, roti, rice, water and you name it, subsequently the child gets to eat that through his mother’s milk, I can now confidently rightly say that Semesa Karavaki is also a product of animal milk inclusive all Fijians and humans the world over.

Congrats to our Madam Speaker for being an excellent referee and captain in holding our Parliament House to order during our National Budget Debate despite some very unruly behaviour from the Opposition

Despite the consistent defeat of all the NFP and SODELPA Opposition motions tabled in our august house last week, credit must be given to them for not abandoning ship; they must be all frustrated but vinaka for seeing the budget through and there is some degree of credibility in it.

I will repeat myself again, our FijiFirst Government has got its own agenda, it was mandated not to negotiate anything with the Opposition but to do what it thinks necessary and right by the people of this nation.

The people’s Government is not easily swayed despite the absence of our PM, there is every trust in his team, the numbers are there and our 2016 Budget will be passed even if you decide to boycott in the last minute.

Can Karavaki go back to his bible and find out which animal milk did God’s people consume for their sustenance during their many journeys.

I would label Karavaki’s unwarranted comments, “a good shot no brainer call”.

Thank you

Wise Muavono,
Lautoka

I am very grateful to WAF for the continuous supply of clean drinking water during this dry spell we’re experiencing in the West.

Unlike the PWD days of the past when we had regular water cuts even during the wet season. Kaila!
