ISIS
Amenatave Yaconisau,
Delainavesi
I don’t think the current string of reckless murders by ISIS has got anything to do with the Islam religion.
All religion wants to bring peace among opposing forces, but these people are painting a bad name for religion in an imposing manner.
These are young people disaffected by their own government and their view of life is very gloomy.
They are simply young barbarians ganging up.
They have a similar poison as the Nazi doctrine by turning friends against friends, religion against religion, country against country because it suits their policy of world domination. We all thought the bestial frightfulness of the Nazis was bad enough.
But it seems that another one has reappeared for the beating by the allies.
They are simply disillusioned angry young people who want to gang up and create fear and confusion for the world abusing the Islam religion.
I agree with the A-G that they are an abomination to people of all faiths including Muslims everywhere (FS 23/11/15)
If people respond by disappearing and locked up waiting for the enemy to be caught then ISIS propaganda is working.
But the problem is that this is not a bomb siren and shelter situation where one knows the target of the enemy.
You don’t know where and when they will hit.
This country should stand by the UN resolution to obliterate them.
We have to manage radicalism, otherwise we will pay dearly. It’s already in Sydney and they are willing to support terrorist activities.
It’s not a religion issue, it’s a matter of radical power and control.

Pray for ISIS
Savenaca Vakaliwaliwa,

Everyone, including our true Muslim brothers and sisters, strongly condemn the Paris attacks and killing of 130 people by Islamic State terrorists, who also injured 350 people.
What does ISIS achieve through the death of innocent people while giving Allah the glory?
If Allah is the Creator of Heaven and earth and all living creatures including mankind, has He back-flipped and confused to start destroying innocent lives?
No matter how much the ISIS supporters have been brainwashed to think and believe that they are doing the will of Allah, they are not worshipping the same Allah true Muslims bow down to.
From a Christian perspective, when we are cornered and cannot breakthrough to stop the enemy from orchestrating more destruction; this is where divine power is sought through prayer to intervene.
All over the world, prayers have been offered for those who lost their lives through the act of ISIS including their surviving family and friends, but do we plead to God to touch the hearts and minds of the misguided ISIS forces?
ISIS may think that they are unstoppable, while we may say that they have been brainwashed and are brain dead, but Heaven moves when believers unite as one and call on the Almighty God for help.
We all want this madness to stop and I believe it is time the world seriously unites to pray for ISIS if all other solutions fail.

Sharing the stage?

Real leaders do not get scared of sharing the same podium as another leader.
If Martin Luther King Jr and Malcolm X can share the same stage, I don’t see why Fijian Parliamentarians can’t.
