The trade show provides an opportunity for local and international properties and service provides to showcase their inventions, meet potential customers, and find innovative ways of doing business in the Tourism industry.
This year the show also features a range of competitions to highlight skill sets in the industry.
“It is an opportunity for the hotel operators and related activity providers to come together and share knowledge, experiences and appraise others in the latest trends, outlook and growth,” Mr Koya said.

Sustainable Industry
Mr Koya added: “Whilst talking about growth we need to ensure that the growth takes into account the environment.”
He said the environment is obviously important to tourism; both the natural and the built environment must be preserved and environmentally sustainable.
“Environmental sustainability simply means making sure resources can be preserved for use by future generations,” Mr Koya said.
He emphasised that being environment sustainable is more than just ‘being green.’
“Therefore, the onus is on you to ensure that necessary steps are taken to maintain the long term sustainability of your industry.”
Mr Koya said tourists were becoming increasingly aware of the protection of environment and is willing to pay extra.
“Hence, it is important that tourism operators focus their marketing strategy to target this new and growing segment of the market.”
He acknowledged the efforts and commitment of the players in the industry for boosting the industry and stimulating national economy in the process.
The trade show will end on Friday with a grand gala dinner and announcement of winners for Salon Culinaire, wine ambassador and mixologist of the year awards.
