AGM will decide on staff, policy

The iTaukei Affairs Board and Provincial Council Employees Association will have its annual general meeting at the Friendly North Inn in Labasa tomorrow.
Association president and Roko Tui Tailevu Semisi Saukawa said the AGM would mainly focus on what the management had done in the past few years.
“New management executives have joined and there are requirements by the Ministry of Labour auditors to get them placed,” Mr Saukawa said.
“So we have done that and now during this AGM we will put this forward.
“There are also some issues to be dealt with in terms of staff management and we will take it up and see how we can work with management to solve it.
“There are a lot of other issues to be discussed and motions are coming in from all the provincial councils which would be highlighted during the meeting.”
Mr Saukawa said staff and policy issues needed to be amended.
“We have the AGM on yearly basis that usually coincides with the Roko Tui workshop,” he said.
Today the Roko Tui would attend the Quality Control Convention (QCC).
