Fourteen-year-old Sabina Regina Moce now looks forward to the challenges ahead as she graduated from the Fiji School for the Blind in Vatuwaqa, Suva, on Thursday.
Sabina, who is the headgirl of the school, was awarded the Best All Round student award, Leadership Award, the Best Sportswoman of the Year, the highest scorer in Year Eight and the Best Student Attendance award.
Although she is short-sighted, the lass from Sawakasa in Tailevu said she took this as a motivation towards achieving her goal of becoming a doctor.
“I feel so happy and excited today knowing that my hardwork from the past nine years has ended at a very good point,” Sabina said.
“I am going to attend St Joseph’s Secondary School from next year and I’m ready to face the challenges that I’ll come across there.”
She said she wanted to be a doctor because she wanted to help and treat people who also faced problems like what she was facing with her other colleagues at school.
