What happened: The Vodafone Fijian Under -20 rugby side got off to a strong start in the opening rounds of the 2015 Oceania Rugby Junior Trophy at the ANZ Stadium yesterday.
The Salimoni Ravouvou-coached side started off well, dominated the first half clinical in attack and ruthless in defence.
The Kaveni Dabenaise-captained side scored five tries in the first half through Vasikali Mudu, Isaia Nataba,Nailati Ukalele, Dabenaise and Isimeli Naivaludua. Ukalele kicked two conversions while Nataba slotted one for Fiji to lead 29-0 at halftime.
The Fijians lifted the intensity in the second half and were simply too strong in all departments.
Asaeli Atunaisa scored a double while Leone Nawai,Rupeni Vakasilimi and Kaveni Dabenaise scoring one each. Isaia Nataba was successful with a conversion and also scored try. Fulltime: Fiji 63-0 PNG.
Big play: The Fijians executed well and were simply too strong.
Star turn: Dabenaise led by example.

Fiji manager Taniela Domoni said: “We are happy with the performance but players need to communicate better.
“It’s our first game these players are young so we need to give them chance.
PNG captain Bradley Kelegai said;
“We had time to prepare there is no excuse and we got a lot of work to do.”
