Nadroga gave Savusavu a good fight to win 2-0 in the Women’s Inter-District Championship premier division Pool B final match.

What happened: Ball handling mistakes cost Savusavu. Nadroga took full advantage with Eta Ulurua and Reavi Ulunisau scoring before halftime,

Star play: Ulurua played an instrumental role in the win.

Big play: Uluinisau’s hard work pays off in the end.

Halftime: Nadroga 2-0 Savusavu

A yellow card to Vaui Avei  for unsportsmanlike behaviour  to the  Savusavu  side slowed down their pace slightly however the Stallions proved too quick for them

Comments:

Nadroga coach Rachel Watkins said: “They did well as we really trained them to be physically fit and I’m so proud of my girls.”

Savusavu team coach Sai Johnson said: “These are all new girls and some of them are playing soccer for the first time as they normally play netball.”

“The first game was good against Suva but thank them for their effort so far.”

Results: Premier division: Tavua 0-3 Lami,Tailevu/Naitasiri 2-0 Lami, Savusavu 2-0 Nadroga and Suva 2-3 Nadroga.
