Athletics For Me, Says Molly

Athletics has already moulded Esther Molly to be a better person.
She made the comment after she received the Best Female Athlete award during the Suva Special School annual prizegiving last week.
Molly took part in the 2015 Special Olympics World Games in Los Angeles, USA where she won four medals:
l Gold medal in 100 metres;
l Gold medal in Unified Bocce Event;
l Gold in Javelin;
l Silver in 4×100 relay
The 16-year-old, originally from Rabi Island, thanked her grandmother and school management for their support.
“I would like to thank my grandmother and all my teachers for helping me all throughout the year,” Molly said.
In future Molly plans to be part of Athletics Fiji and contribute positively to the sport and making Fiji proud in upcoming special sports competitions.
“I believe athletics can really help me become famous and can take me further in my future.
“I wish to join Athletics Fiji and become a role model for all those individuals with special needs.”
Molly encourages all the special students to believe in themselves and do things according to their capabilities.
“Believe in whatever you do as we are unique so always do your very best,” Molly said.
She also received the Most Progressive Student of the Year, Overall Female Athlete of the Year and Home Management awards.
