Brothers Lend A Hand
Westwood Boxing received financial help from the directors of the Sai Jewellers and Mirror Jewellers for the Northern Boxing Rumble next month.
Promoter Praneel Dass was grateful with the donation.
“I’m grateful for the assistance which will help revive boxing in Vanua Levu,”Dass said.
“Without the support of sponsors, it’s very hard to organise an event.
Sai Jewellers and Mirror Jewellers directors Ravi Khera and his brother Kishore Khera are supporting Westwood Boxing programme for the second year.
“Praneel is an old friend of mine and I’m also interested in boxing,” Ravi said.
“Others sports like rugby usually have sponsors so that’s why my brother and I stepped in to help Westwood.
“We will continue to support boxing in Fiji and continue to sponsor Westwood Boxing programme in the near future.”
