The Telecom Fijiana team wasted no time since landing in Dubai as they have got straight to work preparing for the first leg of the Women Sevens Series on Thursday in Dubai.

Head coach Chris Cracknell has tweeted that the girl’s progress while in Dubai as they started off spin sessions on Saturday with the Vodafone Fijian 7s team.

Their spin sessions were followed by gym sessions early Saturday morning partnered with field sessions as well with the men’s team with head coach Ben Ryan.

Around mid-day Cracknell posted a positive tweet showing the Fijiana team in good spirits and ready for the week ahead.

“World Rugby and Dubai 7s here we come, been a great few days of preparation in Abu Dhabi. Time to hit tournament mode and crack on to the weekend.”

After their stellar performance during the Oceania 7s Olympic Qualifier in New Zealand thrashing Samoa 55-0 the finals, they will aim to keep the same momentum going.

With the guidance of Cracknell and the influence of Ryan, the Fijiana team is poised to pull off another spectacular performance.

The Telecom Fijian play the  first match against Canada at 9.20pm on Thursday followed by their second game against USA at 12.38am and their last pool game against Ireland will be played at 3.35am.

Fiji men’s will play the opener on Friday against Canada at 6pm, followed by their second game at 9pm against Japan and then their last game against Argentina at 2:28am.
