Tour Managers Educate Industry Here For Better Traveller Experience

With the announcement of Fiji Airways flying direct to Singapore from April, Tour Managers Fiji has begun exploring ways to attracting travelers through the opening of this new route.
Senior management of Tour Managers Fiji and its global sales teams from India and China recently held a strategic meeting with tourism industry partners in Fiji.
This was a major step in the right direction in terms of focused coordination, education of industry partners on the opportunities available and targeted identification in the new markets.
It was to highlight preferences which travelers from these markets need to experience when travelling to a luxury destination such as Fiji.
This vision is to be a partner of credibility and trust which seeks to create long term partnerships of mutual benefit which in turn will generate direct and indirect employment opportunities through a profitable business.
Tour Managers Fiji managing director, Damend Gounder said they continue to make steady progress over the past three years in opening new markets and opportunities from emerging source markets such as China and India.
“Now with the announcement of the Singapore route, we believe this will significantly enhance frequency and flight availability to Fiji from other feeder source markets close to the Singapore hub,” he said.
Mr Gounder stated in his opening address to the partners such as Tourism Fiji and Fiji Airways that “profits are by products of a business and not its only goal”.
This vision established the direction for which Tour Managers will work with its partners moving forward.
Key objectives
There were three general objectives for the meeting in Fiji which was expanded upon with partners during pre-scheduled meetings from November 20 to 22.
These objectives were to firstly highlight to industry partners Tour Managers’ marketing plans for calendar year 2016.
Second, it was to initiate contact with key industry partners on specific opportunities from which to partner together for the coming year.
Lastly, it was to obtain feedback from partners on what the Tour Managers team can do to improve for its partners in Fiji.
The outcomes from these meetings will be finalised by mid–December.
Firm dates and activities will then be shared with key partners to activate together in various emerging markets which Tour Managers Fiji is targeting.
