Queen Victoria School Old Boys Association received $7500 from Pacific Energy yesterday ahead of the 2015 Druavesi golf tournament on Friday.

The two-day tournament will also coincide with the QVSOB Rugby Club 50th anniversary.

Pacific Energy sales and marketing manager Rajnesh Prasad said they have increased the sponsorship by $1500 this year.

“This is the fifth year in a row that Pacific Energy is sponsoring the Druavesi golf tournament and we have increased the sponsorship to $7500 this year to assist with the QVSOB RC 50th anniversary.

“Pacific Energy is owned by the people in the Pacific so we work with the community through sports because sports bring people together and getting the community together. This event is very dear to us,” Prasad said.

QVSOB president Anasa Vocea acknowledged Pacific Energy for their assistance.

“We are extremely grateful to Pacific Energy who have been supporting us since 2011,”Vocea said.

“We are looking forward to many good years ahead.

QVSOB rugby chairman Jone Biukula said their aim was to have a successful season in the Suva Rugby competition next year.
