Fiji Airways Passes One Millionth Passenger Mark For This Year

Ravin Singh acknowledged as our national airline continues to set new benchmark, provides special award

Fiji Airways has crossed the one-million mark for its 2015 passengers.

This is only the second time that Fiji Airways has exceeded the one-million passenger mark in a year, with 2014 being the first.

Suva-based customer, Ravin Singh, was the one-millionth passenger, and was awarded a prize including a return trip anywhere on the Fiji Airways network.

This was on Monday as he flew from Nadi to Auckland, New Zealand.

Mr Singh, whose family has been regular Fiji Airways’ customers, was surprised at check-in with the news that he was the one-millionth Fiji Airways customer.

He said: “I thought it was a prank when I was informed by the airline staff. I feel very lucky indeed.”

Meanwhile, Fiji Airways also announced that the airline has again crossed the 100,000 passenger mark in a month.

101,183 passengers flew in October, making it just the second time in history for the Fijian national carrier to achieve this result. The first was in July this year.

Fiji Airways flew 1,244,596 passengers in the past year which was a 4.5 per cent year-on-year increase compared to 1,190,735 in 2013.
