What happened:

The Vodafone Fijian Under- 20 defeated Vanuatu in a one-sided encounter in the second round of the Oceania Rugby Junior Trophy match at Buckhurst ground yesterday.

The Isimeli Naivaludua-captained side made sure Vanuatu did not cross their line.  In the first-half the Fijians scored nine and converted seven tries to lead 61-6.

Our men maintained the momentum in the second-half seeing Josaia Raboliku scored a try in the 41st minute converted by Nailati Ukalele.

Vanuatu’s points came from two penalties from Dick Taiwia.

Vanuatu coach Sablan Bernard said: “Dick Taiwia is a great kicker and has a bright future. Our next game against PNG we will be focusing more on our defence.
