Police On The Hunt For Rape Suspects

Police are seeking help from members of the public to apprehend two rape suspects.
A Police team in the West, led by Senior Superintendent of Police (SP) Alekesio Lawakeli, the divisional crime officer, has been tasked to search for the two rape suspects believed to be on the run in Lautoka.
Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro said one of the suspects allegedly raped a six-year-old in Lautoka last weekend, while the other suspect allegedly raped a seven-year-old last month.
She said they had identified the suspect who allegedly raped the six-year-old, who is believed to be the stepdaughter.
She said they were still gathering information on the second suspect.
Ms Naisoro is calling on the public to come forward with information about the suspects.
House to house inquiries, she said, were underway but no arrests had been reported so far.
The search for the two suspects will continue until they were caught, she said.
