Nakasi Lions Upbeat

The Cecil’s Nakasi Lions aim to start with a bang in the Rooster National Club Championship at Govind Park, Ba today.
Nakasi Lions Football Club president Peter Singh said their preparation has been going smoothly.
“We have had a few injuries to some of our U23 players but they are making progress,” Singh said.
“We can only hope players are fully fit to play.”
It will be another Southern Zone playoff for the newcomers as they are pooled with neighbours Lokia FC of Rewa, Bureta FC of Suva and Chelsea FC of Nasinu in Pool Two.
Singh said the players were excited about their first game and will be looking to get that extra boost when they face Chelsea FC.
“First games are always tough and when you win it gives the team that extra boost,” he said.
Nakasi Lions will face Chelsea FC in their first match tonight at 7:15pm at Govind Park, Ba.
